BJP candidate list Lok Sabha 2024 LIVE Updates: Hours after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its first list of 195 candidates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all those who have been nominated as BJP candidates. He said, “Our party has announced candidates for some of the seats and will be announcing the rest in the coming days.
As per the first list, PM Modi is all set to contest 2024 polls from the Varanasi seat. Furthermore, in the first batch of 24 candidates for the Lok Sabha Polls in Madhya Pradesh, featuring notable figures like ex-Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
The names of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also featured in the first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Candidates were declared for 51 seats from Uttar Pradesh, 20 from West Bengal, 24 from Madhya Pradesh, 15 each from Gujarat and Rajasthan, 12 from Kerala, 9 seats from Telangana, 11 from Assam, 11 each from Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, 5 from Delhi, 2 from J&K, 3 from Uttarakhand, 2 from Arunachal Pradesh and 1 each from Goa, Tripura, Andaman & Nicobar and Daman & Diu,

BJP candidate list 2024 LIVE: Veteran BJP leader Mansukhbhai Vasava to contest from Gujarat’s Bharuch in Lok Sabha elections
A senior tribal leader and six-time MP Mansukhbhai Dhanjibhai Vasava will contest the Lok Sabha elections from the Bharuch constituency.
Once a stronghold of Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s political advisor Ahmed Patel, Mansukh Vasava, a senior leader of the Bhartiya Janata party emerged as the winner from the Bharuch Lok Sabha constituency by defeating Congress’ Sherkhan Abdulsakur Pathan in the 2019 General Assembly elections.
Expressing gratitude towards central leadership for nominating him once again, Mansukh Vasava said, “I am thankful to the central and the state leadership for proposing my name for the 7th term. I will work within the party lines and try that all the schemes launched by the state and the central government reach people.”
“We have done a lot of work for our constituency, for the welfare of the public, and will continue to do so,” said BJP leader Mansukhbhai Vasava.
