Petrol-Diesel Price: The central government has announced a reduction of ₹2 per liter in petrol and diesel prices across the country on March 14th. Additionally, on Saturday, the prices of petrol and diesel in Lakshadweep have been reduced by up to ₹15.3 per liter.

On Thursday, there was a reduction of ₹2 per liter in petrol and diesel prices across the country, and on Saturday, there was a reduction of up to ₹15.3 per liter in petrol and diesel prices in Lakshadweep. In fact, the Indian Oil Corporation has prepared a special basic infrastructure to deliver fuel to remote islands. The reduction in petrol and diesel prices has been made by removing the applicable additional charges to recover the expenses incurred for this purpose.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has provided information on a significant reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel at the Lakshadweep Islands on social media platform X. The ministry stated that IOCL supplies petrol and diesel to four islands in Lakshadweep – Kavaratti, Minicoy, Android, and Kalpeni. Depots are present in Kavaratti and Minicoy. The supply from these depots is sourced from the IOCL depot in Kochi, Kerala.
